Hope you are all having a nice semester so far!!!!! As others have said, I have been able to get to know and form a relationship with some of my mentees more than others. (tho they are all great!) On the first day of school at registration, I texted all of them to welcome them to school and invited them to ask if they had any questions. Some of them got back to me more than others - only one or two girls responded to emails. Having a lot of "in towners" in my group, and since many of them know each other but said they were not very interested in a group event or dinner. During midterm time, I went around to each of their dorm rooms to make sure they were not too overwhelmed with midterms and brought them all some chocolate too! (went over really well!!)

Sounds great! Chocolate is a great way to build a relationship. But keep trying to have a group event, usually in the second semester the FTOCs want to figure out how to get involved more on campus. And you can help be their first step!
